Today is the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Red Army.  1.1 million people, primarily Jewish, were gassed and incinerated by the Nazis in the prison camp.

Approximately six million Jews were systematically murdered in Nazi concentration camps in efficient factory-precision during World War ll, between 1939 and 1945.

Before the Holocaust, the pre-war Jewish population (and as early as 1933) in Europe was approximately 9.5 million.  By 2012, Europe's Jewish population was approximately 1.4 to 1.6 million.

The world's Jewish population in 2016 was approximately 14.2 million people.  About half of the world's surviving Jews live in the U.S.

- Sources: BBC/ NerLeElef-Judaism Online/ Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum web site/ Wikipedia/ Jewish Virtual Museum.

…“at least 3.3 million Soviet POWs died in Nazi custody,” as part of the overall 5.7 million POW deaths in WW-2; in the Pacific, the European, African, and other theaters.  “This figure represents a total of 57% of all Soviet POWs" that were in Nazi camps.

In room 420 at St. Mary’s Hospital:  Lucky Louie’s lips were pursed, his bloodshot brown eyes protruded slightly from sunken sockets; a lightning bolt of a vein throbbed in his forehead from monumental mental stress.  He stared intently at his coffee cup on the bed stand.
Fortunato walked in.  “Uncle Louie -- what, what’s the matter?”
“You can speak up the guy in the other bed died yesterday.”
    “Mrs. Catalina?  She had gout.”
“Really?  Huh?  Thought it was a guy.  The voice -- I was trying to make that coffee cup float through the air and land on my belly so I didn’t have to move my ass over to the table.”  He raised an arm with intravenous tubes attached.
Fortunato chuckled.  “It’s only two feet away.”  He opened the curtain between bed spaces with a quick ripping noise, making Lucky Louie’s immediate world larger, and moved from the back of the bed, or from Uncle Louie’s aft, forward.  The nephew picked up the cup, and gently, ever so gently, handed it to his uncle. “Your, uh, teleportation didn’t
work.”
    “Did.”
    “Did what?”
“Did work.”  Lucky Louie sipped his coffee and grinned.
The old man’s nephew sighed; then chuckled.  “I guess it did.  Got any coffee left?”

Another paranoid American wacko not under surveillance.

“USA Representative Dennis Kucinich introduced bill H.R. 2977” in the U.S. Congress in 2001:
This bill was designed to control and/or prohibit satellite- and/or land-based electronic weapons:
“In this bill, the terms ‘weapon’ and ‘weapons system’ included a device capable of the following: ‘directing a source of energy, including molecular or atomic energy, subatomic particle beams, electromagnetic radiation, plasma, or extremely low frequency (ELF) or ultralow frequency (ULF) energy radiation, against that object,’ ‘through the use of land-based, sea-based, or space-based systems using radiation, electromagnetic, psychotronic, sonic, laser, or other energies directed at individual persons or targeted populations for the purpose of information war, mood management, or mind control of such persons or populations.’”

“The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) formally listed a special category of psychotronic (psycho = ‘mind’ & tronic= ‘electronic’) mind control and other electromagnetic resonance weapons in their 2002 Media Guide to Disarmament.”

- Mind Control with Electromagnetic Frequency/ Soleilvavis Liu (6-7-16)

H.R. 2977 did not become law:
On 04/19/2002 2977 received an “Unfavorable Executive Comment Received from DOD (Department of Defense).”     - Congress.gov

Given the documented abuse of power by some state-run fusion centers in this country since 9/11, a possible scenario of socio-cultural or political control or attacks of activists  -- pro-life or pro-choice; African-American or white identity; anti-gay or gay -- could work like this:
Law abiding activists are targeted by law enforcement, socio-political, or corporate groups by a variety of electronic mind and behavioral altering methods that then create seemingly unstable, aggressive criminals who are arrested for whatever crimes, or acts of insane behavior that threaten public safety, or targets that are compelled to commit suicide.  Now we have a full-proof method to eliminate First Amendment-action threats to anyone that has the technology, the money, the networks to attack and destroy designated enemies.

Happy Martin Luther King Day:

..."when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:
Free at last!  Free at last!
Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"  - Excerpt from: I Have A Dream: Martin Luther King/ Intellectual Properties Management.

“I was a professional croquet player in the Northern California Attenuated Association of Professional Croquet, or the NCAAPC…  under Sir Charles Barkley the only NBA star knighted by the Queen of England -- the big man saved the Isle of Man from sinking after a boating collision with an Irish trawler.  The league became extremely popular in Northern California, Italy, Moldavia, Corsica, and Lapland, among other places.  Sir Barkley established a style of croquet uniform utilizing kilts, uh, and French Foreign Legion hats, um, making the uniforms extremely cool, and the full contact body strikes from stake to stake completely re-energized the sport.  Once primarily a white gentleman’s game -- secretly a gentle lady’s game too: the ladies wore external knickers but did so in private -- it became a sport dominated by the Mayans.  Though croquet was invented in Cornwall by some of the same “Rights of Man” crew responsible for the Magna Carta.  The NCAAPC is now 82% African American, 2% African-American owned.  I was the only white guy on the team. I played goalie and outside skulker before the ’full helmet-era.’”  (a version of this toon was posted earlier)

added 1/18: Carbuncle Moon post 8/30/15:

Black Lives Matter might consider changing the entreaty, the statement of definition or their mission to Black Lives Matter Too (it’s likely others have suggested this).  In this, they might challenge the argument that in suggesting Black Lives Matter they are mitigating the belief that All Lives Matter, but rather they are insisting, and want America to know, that Black Lives Matter Too.

Frank and Alice Shovelhead fell in love at first sight; they married, had a daughter named Hoe, and started a successful snow removal company in Nevada City, California, serving the higher elevations.  These are the kind of Americans that made this country great...

St. Augustine, Florida, is generally listed as the oldest (European-established) city in America, settled in 1565, but San Juan, Puerto Rico, was first established in 1508, the second oldest city in the Western Hemisphere.  The island and the Taíno and Arawak people were discovered by Christopher Columbus and crew in 1493, during his second expedition. The island's natives were called "Indians" by Columbus who thought he had landed in the East Indies.   - Wikipedia/ www.topuerto.org/ & various other sources
